The 2012 Annual Meeting and associated research and education conference for The Society for Mathematical Biology was held in Knoxville, Tennessee from July 25-28, 2012. The conference theme was Mathematics and Biology: Interdisciplinary Connections and Living Systems. The gathering was hosted by the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS) and the University of Tennessee. The conference was held at the Knoxville Convention Center and associated activities were held at NIMBioS before and after the conference.
